MUDr. Kateřina Bešíková is authorised to assess the medical fitness of sea-going yacht skippers according to the Czech Ministry of Transport’s official list of authorised physicians.

Frequently asked questions

What does the examination involve?

The examination takes place at MUDr. Kateřina Bešíková’s clinic. It takes approximately 15 minutes for sea-going yacht skippers in Czech categories C, B and A. An STCW examination may take longer.

What should I bring?

Bring your national identity card or passport. We recommend bringing any medical reports you have from your general practitioner. STCW requirements vary; email the clinic if you have questions.

Will I receive the result immediately?

A medically fit yacht skipper receives the certificate immediately after the examination. You will receive timing information for an STCW certificate when booking.

I have a form other than a Czech Ministry of Transport or STCW form. Can I arrange an examination?

Other forms and individual examinations may be arranged in advance. Email the clinic and specify the form or certificate you need.
